Jessica Bennett

Jessica Bennett is an award-winning writer, editor and multimedia journalist who covers gender, sexuality and culture. A former senior editor at Newsweek and executive editor of Tumblr, she writes primarily for the New York Times and Time.com, where she is a regular columnist. She is a contributing editor for Sheryl Sandberg’s women’s foundation, Lean In, where she edits special projects and media initiatives focused on gender equality, including a quarterly section of Cosmopolitan focused on women and work. She is creator and co-curator of the Lean In Collection with Getty Images, a photo initiative to change the way women are depicted in visual media.
