JJ Ramberg

JJ Ramberg is the host of MSNBC’s Your Business, the only television show dedicated to issues affecting entrepreneurs and small business owners. Now in its eighth season, the program has profiled hundreds of small business owners and featured advice from countless small business experts and investors as well as Senate and House Small Business Committee members, the head of the Small Business Administration, and members of the Cabinet. As a leader in this field, JJ often speaks to groups of business leaders and entrepreneurs. She is author of the best-selling book It’s Your Business – 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business.
JJ is passionate about small business and has firsthand experience as an entrepreneur herself. With her brother, she co-founded Goodsearch.com, a socially responsible company which is game-changing in how it helps people help their favorite causes. Through its services including Goodsearch, Goodshop, Gooddining, Goodsurveys and others, the company transforms every day actions into ways to support your favorite charity or school. Through Goodsearch, more than 15 million people have supported causes ranging from large national organizations like The American Red Cross to local high schools and animal shelters. Her business career began after JJ received her MBA when she was the director of marketing and business development and one of the first employees at Los Angeles-based Cooking.com.
Before joining msnbc, JJ was a reporter at CNN where she covered a wide range of topics, ranging from breaking news to profiles of the country’s top business leaders. Her extensive field experience includes reporting from Biloxi, Miss., and New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She also hosted the daytime talk program “The Flipside” on CNNfn and was a producer on CNN’s profile program “Pinnacle.” She began her television career at NBC News, where she was an associate producer at Dateline NBC.
JJ graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and received her MBA from Stanford Business School.
