Troy Ruhanen

As Chairman & CEO, The Americas, Troy oversees BBDO’s operations in North, Central and South America, including the Proximity direct and digital agency network.

Troy joined BBDO in 2004 and was named Deputy Chairman in 2009. He has helped build out BBDO’s digital and strategic capabilities as well as establish new client service offerings such as “The Worth,” BBDO’s proprietary analytic/ROI capability. He’s also worked with global clients such as AT&T, P&G, HP and Diageo.

Prior to joining BBDO, Troy headed Leo Burnett in Australia, where it was named Agency of the Year a record four times and the most awarded agency at the Cannes International Festival. He also orchestrated two of the most successful agency mergers in Australia.

In 2008, Troy was inducted into the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Hall of Achievement, honoring people 40 years of age or younger. He also serves as a Trustee for the March of Dimes.
