Lovina McMurchy

Lovina McMurchy is the General Manager of Skype’s Monetization and Advertising Group where she oversees all of Skype’s advertising-funded products, including the development of Skype’s mobile and native advertising platform strategy. In this role, she has helped to drive triple-digit, year-over-year growth for the team and align the goals of advertising with Skype’s core consumer values and mission.

Prior to her move to Skype, Lovina served as General Manager of Microsoft’s Advertising and Online division in Latin America. Under Lovina’s leadership, the team achieve the highest sales growth and profitability of any Microsoft Advertising sales division worldwide. After nearly a decade with Microsoft, Lovina’s experience spans work across Microsoft’s enterprise and consumer business including work for the Windows Marketing team where she led research insights, messaging and segmentation strategy for the “I’m a PC” campaign.

Before Microsoft, Lovina served in senior marketing roles at Vodafone Group and Starbucks. At Vodafone, her marketing programs allowed the company to take the leadership position in the consumer segment. At Starbucks, Lovina launched the wildly popular in-store Wi-Fi service in the U.S.

Lovina has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master’s degree from the University of Auckland, where she was born and raised. She is a member of Seraph Capital Forum the first all-women angel investing group in the country.
