Rosalina Tornel Cahue

With over 20 years of experience in marketing, Rosalina Tornel has built an outstanding career in the consumer goods industry, establishing herself as one of the most influential leaders in her field.

After several months as Vice President of Marketing (CMO) at Grupo Lala, she took on the challenge of becoming the company’s new Vice President of Growth (CGO), where she leads the Marketing and Research & Development divisions. Her mission is to align all of the company’s growth drivers under a unified vision and strategy, ensuring that the brands, portfolio, and consumer experience work together to accelerate sustainable growth and elevate Lala as Mexico’s #1 nutrition brand.

Before joining Grupo Lala in 2024, Rosalina held key marketing and general management roles at global companies such as Kraft, Danone, and PepsiCo, where she strengthened the brand equity of beloved products like Quaker, Gamesa, Sonrics, and Bonafont. She played a fundamental role in category management, brand development, and the execution of innovation strategies. Her leadership, strategic focus, and business vision have been essential in expanding brand presence and creating meaningful connections with consumers.

Rosalina holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, which has equipped her with the tools to drive brand success with a vision focused on creating positive impact and value for people. She has complemented her education with specializations in Digital Marketing at Columbia University and Data and Artificial Intelligence at Kellogg School of Management, as well as leadership programs at Harvard University and Yale University. These experiences have strengthened her comprehensive vision that blends innovation, technology, and human development.

In her current role, Rosalina faces the challenge of integrating Marketing, R&D, and Sustainability under a single vision to propel business growth with a clear focus: staying close to consumers and putting them at the center. Her approach emphasizes understanding real needs, new lifestyles, and global trends, translating those insights into strategic plans supported by digitalization to capitalize on the company’s competitive advantages. Her goal is to drive growth not only economically but also by nourishing more families across Mexico.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Rosalina has dedicated much of her career to promoting gender equity and women’s empowerment. She is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion both inside and outside the business world, having been recognized by AdWeek, AdLatina, and Expansión’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Through her work, she continues to create space for new generations of female leaders.
