Claudio Flores Thomas

Claudio Flores Thomas is a consultant in communication and narratives. He was President of the AMAI (Mexican Association of Market Intelligence and Public Opinion Agencies) in the period 2019-2020. He is currently CEO of Altazor Intelligence and is President of the AVE Board of Directors for the period 2020-2022

He studied a Master's in Communication at the UIA, where he graduated with an honorable mention. He is a Doctor of Journalism and Communication Sciences and a specialist in market research and public opinion.
He Doctor Cum Laude in journalism and communication sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​in which he obtained the extraordinary doctorate award for his research contributions.

Specialist in qualitative methodology, he has designed, coordinated and executed research projects for 25 years in various fields such as advertising evaluation, engagement, positioning, branding, institutional and government image, impact of health campaigns, evaluation of audiovisual products, enrichment of strategies for political and promotional campaigns, testing of creative concepts, tourism planning and agrochemicals, among others.

He has participated in research projects at the UIA, FLACSO, UAM, UNAM and UACH and ventured into teaching as a professor of Communication Theory and Research at the Ibero-American University and of Marketing Metrics at ITAM.

He is an enthusiastic supporter of using research methodology freely and creatively.
He currently chairs the Alliance for the Strategic Value of Brands (AVE).
He is the former president of the Mexican Association of Market Intelligence and Public Opinion Agencies (AMAI).

He is chair of the IAB Guidelines and Best Practices Committee, is a member of the Effie® Awards Council, and is also a member of the Communication Council's Campaigns Council.

In the media, he has a space every Sunday on Public Agenda with Mario Campos on ForoTV and every Monday on Radar on Radio Ibero.
