Oscar Uriel

Communicator, film critic, broadcaster, theater and film producer. He completed a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Trade and Customs at the Universidad Iberoamericana and later studied a one-year diploma in television and film production at UCLA, Westwood, California campus.

He emigrated to Mexico City in 1992 to work as host of the television program En Exclusiva, produced by Televisa, to later host and produce the 24 Per Second capsules, which were on the air for more than twelve consecutive years. Two years ago the project was revived and the capsules are currently broadcast on Televisa Networks' Golden and De Cine channels.

He was a producer and radio host in 1998 on WFM at the same time conducting a wide variety of television programs for Televisa such as Hoy, Aqui Entre Dos, La Botana, Videocosmos 2000, Detrás de Cameras etc.

In 2004 he produced his first short film entitled While I Die, which was nominated for the Ariel award as the best short film of the year and awarded the Sol De Oro as the best short at the 2005 edition of the Biarritz Film Festival.

Since 2010 he has produced theatrical works such as I Do not Know If Cut My Veins or Leave Them Long, Chekhov Vanya Project, The Seagull, The Crystal Zoo, Little Voice, The Three Sisters and Titus among several others. In 2007 he was one of the producers of the film Quemar Las Naves directed by Francisco Franco and in 2012 he produced the film documentary The Fabulous and Pathetic Story of a Montage Called I Love Romeo and Juliet.

In 2020 he released his third film as producer entitled El Club De Los Idealistas directed by Marcelo Tobar.

He currently participates as a host in 24 x Segundo, Cuéntamelo Ya, # QuéPelículaVer by ExaFM and the ALV Podcast Show.
