Mara Fernandez

With 20 years of experience in the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American advertising industry, Mara Fernandez, Associate Publisher/Senior Director of PRODU for the U.S. and Latin American markets, maintains the same power and passion, respect and admiration for ideas that have always marked professional growth and cultural diversity.

As she keeps watch on generational changes, accepts the new paradigms of consumer habits, implements the new technologies and keeps track of data showing which way the market is going, she has been part of the industry’s renewal since 2007, when she helped P&C (Publicidad y Comerciales) make the switch from being a twice-monthly magazine to an online daily and remains a leader in the advertising profession to this day.

Those who know Mara have seen her hurrying between presentations, chasing down news stories, taking photos, reporting from national and international festivals, reaching accords to cover the creative work of other markets on other horizons, reporting the good news about entrepreneurs and dreamers, forever resisting the inevitable budget cuts, and all that with an immense drive to follow the news with camera, tripod and microphone.

And so Mara Fernandez, ambassador of the Hispanic/Latino/Multicultural market, describes her journey through the first two cycles of her professional life.
