Roberto Ramirez Laverde

Roberto Ramirez Laverde joined Mastercard in 2019, as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. In this role, he is responsible for driving brand reputation and consumer affection for Mastercard across 45 countries and territories. Roberto and his team are tasked with applying an integrated marketing and communications approach to advancing the company’s strategic initiatives, enabling market share growth, and evolving brand value, including the award-winning Priceless advertising campaign.

Roberto has more than 20 years of experience across several consumer goods industries in Latin America, the US, and Canada, encompassing the areas of business development, marketing, communications, and branding. Prior to joining Mastercard, Roberto held various senior positions at Bacardi, ranging from brand management and marketing directorships across Latin America and the Caribbean to Vice President of North America.

Before his work at Bacardi, Roberto spent his career working for other internationally recognized brands such as Heineken, The Coca-Cola Company, and Oakley. His work in creating digital strategies and building strong brands has been recognized in the industry.
