Karla Berman has led the Consumer Goods team in Google Mexico for two years. In her previous role she was responsible for YouTube's commercial strategy for Latin America.
Before joining Google, she was in charge of the digital business of Grupo Expansión. There, she launched and directed most of its products, including alliances with CNN: CNNMéxico.com and CNNExpansión.com. Her role was key to the digital transformation of the company.
Karla was a business analyst for McKinsey & Co. and worked as a reporter for the newspaper Reforma. She graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Industrial Engineering and has a master's degree from Harvard Business School.
She is passionate about gender equality issues, has been head of Women @ Google in her Mexican chapter, as well as founding member of MBA Mujeres de México A.C. She is a columnist for Milenio and the Huffington Post and mom of 4 girls.
