Jane Carter

The first woman to lead global production at a major music publishing company. Jane Carter oversees the entirety of Universal Production Music and its entities worldwide, leading the company’s innovation and growth strategy across the rapidly evolving content creation business.

Jane’s successful career in the music industry spans over 25 years, holding senior positions in Publishing, Recording and Broadcast companies as General Manager for BBC Worldwide Music Publishing; Creative Director, BBC Music; and Head of Marketing for Warner Classics UK. She pioneered the BBC's 'Blue Planet in Concert' live event series and was the creative powerhouse for two groundbreaking BBC Proms - Warhorse with the National Theatre and Wallace & Gromit with Aardman Animations. Her talent development work has nurtured Emmy and Ivor Novello winning composers of scores for TV, film and advertising.

In 2019, Jane launched 'MusicHacks' a pioneering new wellness collaboration with Dr Julia Jones.
