He has been presenting TV and radio programmes for 25 years and has reported from countries across the globe on a range of technology issues from the latest mobile internet devices in Japan and the walking robots of South Korea, to the life changing impact of just one computer on an Indian Village and one SIM card on the slums of Johannesburg.
Since joining the BBC in 2003, Spencer has interviewed many big names in the world of entertainment and tech including James Cameron, Will.i.am, Sir Paul McCartney, Bill Gates, Edward Snowden and Julian Assange.
Spencer has an Honorary Doctorate of Technology from the University of Coventry.
