In this session...
Steve Murrells became the Co-op Group CEO in March 2017. Since then, he has overseen the company’s growth to become the UK’s largest mutual business with more than 4.5 million members, 63,000 colleagues and a presence in every postcode in the country.
While doing so, he has still found time to be a leading and influential voice in issues that affect society. During the session Steve will talk to Suki Thompson, Founder and CEO Let’s Reset about the greater purpose of the Co-op Group. Why Marcus Rashford and the murder of George Floyd affected him deeply and made the Co-op speak out in support. We will also explore Co-op's role in the community and the role that business should generally play in society.
Beyond Steve Murrells, the business leader, Suki will chat to him about why having a purpose is important to him personally and why mental health support for everyone is vital now and in the future. The session will be a fascinating insight into one of the most high profile and influential societal leaders in business today.
