Gary Reich

After working at the BBC as an in-house comedy producer in the late 90s, where he co-created ‘Bruno’ with Sacha Baron Cohen, Gary worked as head of comedy at Chrysalis TV where he did the first television work of Catherine Tate, The Mighty Boosh and Dom Joly. In 2002 he started and ran his own production company, ‘Brown Eyed Boy’, making numerous award winning sitcoms and sketch shows for the BBC. In 2009 he sold his company to Elizabeth Murdoch’s company ‘Shine’ where he continued as MD and produced the sitcom ‘Vicious’ on ITV, starring Sirs Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi. In 2016, after Shine’s merger with Endemol he co-created the comedy drama series ‘Turn Up Charlie’ with Idris Elba and starring the big man himself. Netflix commissioned 8 episodes which launched on the streaming service on March 15th 2019. Gary is in the process of setting up a new independent production company called Neon Unicorn Pictures with his long time collaborator and production partner Martin Joyce.
