Based on the Emmy Award-winning short film of the same name, Notes on Blindness is the debut feature from Writer-Directors Peter Middleton & James Spinney. Embedding original documentary elements within cinematic interpretations and textured sound design, the filmmakers take the viewer on an illuminating and deeply personal journey deep into what John calls “a world beyond sight”.

Both the feature film and accompanying Virtual Reality piece aim to open up a public discourse about blindness, allowing audiences to understand and ‘feel’ their way into that discussion.

The feature-length documentary Notes on Blindness premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in January 2016, alongside its sister project, the VR experience Notes on Blindness: Into Darkness. The feature film will be released in the UK in summer 2016 through Curzon Artifical Eye. View Less
