Masaya Asai

Born in Sapporo Japan and graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Master's Degree in Advertising. Soon after starting his professional career as an Art Director at TBWAHAKUHODO Tokyo in 2007, he was awarded the best young creative in Asia, bringing home the Young Lotus trophy. Spent a year at TBWAChiatDay in Los Angeles under the agency's creative exchange program. Upon completion in 2009, he joined TBWAMedia Arts Lab in Tokyo, where he spent 3 years leading global localization for high profile international campaigns. In 2012, Masaya relocated to LA to join TBWAMedia Arts Lab, to lead various global campaign as a Creative Director. One of his most recognized projects is Shot on iPhone - World Gallery, for which he won Cannes Lions Outdoor Grand Prix. After 6 years and over 150 projects, Masaya returned to Tokyo in 2017. He is currently working as a Group Creative Director for UNIQLO, in charge of its global branding and communication.
