Hiroshi Ohta

Hiroshi Ohta started his career at Schlumberger Japan in 1985 and then moved to Nippon Steel in 1988 to engage in engineering development. He was seconded to J-Phone, a mobile operator, in 1992 and developed innovative products and services, including “Sha Mail”, world-first picture mail service, and 3D Java games, to name a few.
He co-founded Gemini Mobile Technologies (now Cloudian) in 2001. He was seconded to Vodafone Japan (now SoftBank) in 2005 and led the development of mobile terminals, value added services, and content businesses as Executive Corporate Officer, heading product and service development. He returned to Cloudian in 2007 and launched object storage product business.
