Derek O'Neil

Derek has been in an advisory consulting role at MediaMath since mid 2015, recently joining MediaMath full time. In this role, Derek’s strategic responsibility is to encourage the uptake and use of embeddable MediaMath technologies as integrated components within MediaMath clients’ own marketing platforms.

Prior to joining MediaMath, Derek ran Business Development for IponWeb from 2008 to 2015. At IponWeb, Derek played a leading role in the development of media trading strategies and business plans for over 100 media trading businesses (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, Ad-servers, adnetworks, etc) in every major market around the world. In addition, for over 50 of those platforms who had adopted IponWeb technology as their implementation path, Derek oversaw the architectural design and technical build of their media trading systems, including some of the first RTB systems in the Japanese market.

Derek has been residing in Tokyo for more than 10 years.
