In this session...

In 2021, Mpox (fka Monkeypox) hit gay men with the resounding echo of AIDS. Then and now, the media sensationalized, many experts stepped back and those suffering were left to their own devices. Through their personal and professional networks, academics, data scientists, public officials and — get this — Grindr came together to reach gay men where they’re most receptive. This team will present their case study of one of the most effective health communication campaigns in recent history.

What You'll Learn from This Session...

  1. How can we, as leaders in our industry, overcome the internalized fears and stigma that keeps us from doing the best work?
  2. How can marketers begin to heal the mistrust and misunderstanding between institutions and the populations harmed by them?
  3. How do we make a business case for going beyond traditional channels and into spaces where real communication is happening?
