Lynda Clarizio has over 20 years’ experience growing, scaling and investing in businesses with a focus on data and technology. She is regularly recognized as one of the most influential women and visionary leaders in digital media. Lynda has a long history as an astute investor and dealmaker. She led strategic investing and M&A at both AOL and Nielsen where she was able to identify trends early leading to significant investments and acquisitions. Past investments include Google, Amazon, Kayak and Brightcove (all at AOL) and acquisitions include Advertising.com and MapQuest (at AOL) and Gracenote and eXelate (at Nielsen).
Lynda served as President of US Media at Nielsen Holdings, the global measurement and data analytics company, where she worked from 2013 to 2018. Prior to joining Nielsen, she held CEO, President and other leadership positions at AppNexus, INVISION, Advertising.com and AOL. Prior to joining AOL, Lynda was a partner in the Washington, DC law firm Arnold & Porter, where she practiced law from 1987 through 1999. Lynda has received numerous awards, including being named one of Crain’s “50 Most Powerful Women in New York” (2017), The Washingtonian’s “Top 100 Tech Titans” (2011), Digital Media Wire’s “25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment” (2009) and Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch” (2008).
She also was named one of the “Top 40 Lawyers Under 40” (1998) by The Washingtonian. Lynda has held numerous board seats and currently sits on the boards of CDW, Intertek Group, Taboola, Emerald and Simpli.fi, and is the Vice-Chair of Human Rights First. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Princeton University.
