XiaoHwa Sydney Ng

XiaoHwa is a graduate of SUNY Purchase College's Conservatory of Film and an alum of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Assistant Director Program. Her career spans over a decade as an Assistant Director, including working on shows such as ABC's Ugly Betty, CBS' Elementary, Showtime's The Big C, and Netflix's Julie's Greenroom. Since 2016, XiaoHwa has been the Cultural Content Director at ADMERASIA, crafting commercials, video content, print ads, and social media campaigns for a diverse array of clients. Her work hasreceived multiple awards for campaigns such as Twin Marquis' Yum Chat Web Series. She is also an integral part of ADMERASIA's community outreach programs and takes great pride in connecting Asian American artists, activists, and communities with support. Recent projects include Racism is Contagious, an online mapping system that tracks hate crimes targeting the AAPI community; History is Colorful: A Coloring Book of Asian American Pioneers, distributed to Fortune 500 companies across the nation; and the PSA Invisible, that won the 3in5 Challenge which promotes Asian American representation in ad content.
