Melanie Allen

Melanie Allen joined Brooks in 2017 with both right- and left-brain muscles well flexed as evidenced through her career journey. Allen came to Brooks after seven years with Starbucks Coffee Company, most recently serving as vice president of global coffee innovation. In this role she was responsible for defining and bringing to market the five-year coffee beverage innovation pipeline. Prior to that role, she was vice president of integrated marketing at Starbucks, responsible for go-to-market and seasonal promotions to deliver on Starbucks’ retail growth ambitions. Before Starbucks, Allen held various leadership roles in marketing, product, and engineering over a 16-year period at consumer product goods powerhouses Procter & Gamble and 3M. In her Brooks role, Allen leads the global marketing team, defining brand strategy and developing campaigns that bring to life Brooks’ product stories, the company’s unique technology and design solutions, and the inspiration inherent in the transformative power of the run. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
