Donny Deutsch

Donny Deutsch is one of the most prominent media and business voices, innovative political analysts, and leading branding mavens of our time. When Deutsch, chairman emeritus of Deutsch Inc., sold the multi-billion dollar ad agency to The Interpublic Group of Companies, so began his transition from business to media.

Deutsch most recently wrapped serving as host on MSNBC’s summer 2019 show, “Saturday Night Politics,” closing out the season as the highest-rated Saturday evening show in MSNBC history. The show attracted loyal viewers with Deutsch’s hard-hitting yet entertaining personality, and atypical approach to breaking down the week’s biggest political news stories. “Saturday Night Politics” gave viewers a break from MSNBC’s usual programming of similarly formatted political pundit shows, with Deutsch’s unrivaled reporting of key strategic
questions and challenges heading into the 2020 election season.

Over the course of the past decade, Deutsch has become a familiar, outspoken political analyst on MSNBC, regularly appearing on some of the cable news network’s most popular shows, “Morning Joe” and “Deadline White House.” Previously, Deutsch hosted the long running CNBC talk show, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.”
Deutsch made his initial foray into politics when he served as Political Campaign Consultant on the 1992 Clinton-Gore Presidential Campaign. With Deutsch’s help, Clinton won the election handedly with more than 345 electoral votes, becoming the first Democrat to break a 12-year Republican hold on the White House, and defeating his Republican predecessor George H.W. Bush who then became the third one-term President in nearly half a century. Deutsch’s most recent efforts with the Democratic National Committee on the 2018 Midterm campaigns resulted in the highest percentage of women in U.S. history elected to serve in the 116th Congress, one of many additional historical wins the Democrats achieved that election.

Additionally, Deutsch has penned two business motivation books, “Often Wrong, Never in Doubt” and “THE BIG IDEA: How to Make Your Entrepreneurial Dreams Come True from the AHA Moment to Your First Million.”

Deutsch is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. He is father of three girls and resides in Manhattan.
