Barak Moffitt

During a career spanning 25 years in technology and music, Barak Moffitt has played a leadership role in innovating, modernizing and expanding the role of content production in the music industry across recording studios, audio-visual production and global distribution channels.

At Universal Music Group, Barak Moffitt is Executive Vice President of Content Strategy and Operations, with responsibilities that include creating, facilitating, and maximizing the value of Universal Music’s Audio and Audiovisual content across artists and labels.

In addition, Moffitt oversees Strategic Operations, an organization that works across the company’s major label groups and studios to maximize the value of core music and audio assets. For many years, Moffitt also ran the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood, where he spearheaded the revitalization of the studio’s iconic heritage with state-of-the-art capabilities.

Before joining the Universal Music, Moffitt held a senior executive role at EMI Music Group, where he led major strategic initiatives in rights management, metadata, studios and production, music publishing, and technology. He has also held senior leadership positions in technology and media, supporting large-scale production and digital media operations.
