Jesus Chavez

Jesús Chavez is the Chief Executive Officer of Vertical Networks, the world’s leading mobile-first content studio, producing daily editorial and video properties driven by real-time insights. In his role, Chavez is responsible for building a premium monetization arm, creating new IPs that are meant to travel to new formats, and expanding the brand’s presence across platforms, sub-brands, and direct-to-consumer.

Prior to Vertical Networks, Chavez served as the Chief Operating Officer at mitú, a leader in creating digital media and entertainment for U.S.-based Latino millennials. At mitú, Chavez drove and scaled the strategy, management and profitability of the company’s business portfolio. Additionally, he oversaw audience development across social platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, while also managing brand deals. Before mitú, Chavez spent more than eight years in executive positions at Univision, where he managed the company’s digital operations for the Local Media Group.

Chavez is a Board Member on the Digital & Innovation Advisory Council for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. He has an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
