Laura Petrecca

Laura Petrecca is a writer, editor and strategic consultant who works with media outlets and other businesses to develop engaging, high-quality content.

She’s held key editorial positions at some of the nation’s top media companies, including Gannett, Rodale and Crain Communications. In her most recent newsroom role, she was USA Today’s New York City bureau chief and senior editor of special projects. Previously she was the editor of USA Today’s business section.

Laura has extensive experience conceiving, producing and promoting content such as livestream videos, blog posts, feature stories and investigations. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Real Simple, USA Today, Prevention, Crain’s New York Business, Advertising Age, the New York Post and AARP.

She is an adept public speaker who provides insights and analysis on panels, radio shows and TV programs. Her TV appearances include Good Morning America, the Today show, Access Hollywood and Inside Edition.

Laura has a master's degree in journalism and a certificate in economics and business journalism from Columbia University. She also has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
