Elizabeth Rutledge

As a 25 plus-year marketing veteran and change agent at Amex, Elizabeth believes leading with customer insights is fundamental to meeting and exceeding customer needs and driving innovation.

She is currently responsible for global insights; brand strategy, identity and integration; global advertising and media; and experiential marketing. Innovative programs include Shop Small/Small Business Saturday, which encourages consumers to shop locally and help fuel local economics.

She has held leadership roles across US Consumer and Global Merchant Services, launching Amex EveryDay Card, introducing new travel benefits for premium customers, managing key co-brand partnerships, and leading key social and mobile marketing efforts, including Amex offers with merchant partners.

Recognized by New York University’s Stern School of Business with the 2016 Stern Women in Business Distinguished Alumna Award, and by Working Mother Magazine as one of the 2013 Working Mothers of the Year.
