Kristen Esposito

In February 2016 Kristen Esposito joined Simon Property Group in a newly created position as Vice President of Tourism and Marketing Alliances where she will lead in the conceptualization and execution of Simon’s tourism activities throughout the Simon Malls, Mills and Premium Outlets platforms.

Most recently, Esposito finished up a distinguished 18-year career at Macy’s which culminated in her role as Vice President of Tourism Marketing and Development, a position she has held since 2009. During her tenure, she led a team of nearly 60 people responsible for marketing Macy’s as a premiere travel destination to international and domestic visitors. With shopping as a top activity for travelers, Kristen has raised the bar on how Macy’s markets over 700 stores, along with the ever popular Visitor 10% Savings Pass across the globe. Under her direction, this department has created remarkable relationships with regional, national and international travel and tourism partners that have added excitement and newness, bringing the Magic of Macy’s worldwide.

In 2013 she forged a first-ever collaboration with NYC & Company re-opening the newly renovated Herald Square Visitor Center as an Official Information Center of New York City. This visitor center concept also expanded to Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. These co-branded centers were upgraded with state-of–the art technology, information and ticketing services for city attractions that cater to both international and domestic tourists.

Prior to overseeing tourism marketing, she led the Cause Marketing department at Macy’s where she created strategic charitable marketing partnerships such as the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign, Thanks for Sharing holiday program and the annual Shop For a Cause charity shopping day. Under her direction these programs have raised over $100 million dollars for non-profit organizations. These programs are still an integral part of the Macy’s culture even today.

Prior to joining Macy’s, Ms. Esposito worked in the entertainment industry as Director of Special Events at the Big Apple Circus, Booking Manager at Colbert Artists Management and Artist Management Coordinator at Columbia Artists Management.

She is a graduate of Syracuse University and currently resides in New York City.
