Lauren Cole

Lt. Cmdr. Lauren E. Cole reported in May 2016 as Director of the Navy Office of Information East. As a satellite for the Navy’s Information Office in the Pentagon, she is responsible for Navy public and media relations in the Tri-State area.

After graduating Boston University in 2007, Lt. Cmdr. Cole served as a Naval Aviator flying H-60F/H/S helicopters. She he was assigned to HS/HSC-7 and deployed aboard USS HARRY S. TRUMAN in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.

In 2013, she graduated the Defense Information School Public Affairs Course with honors and served as Media Officer at U.S. Fleet Forces Command. From 2014-2016 she was forward-deployed to the Asia-Pacific as Deputy Public Affairs Officer for U.S. 7th Fleet.

Her decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy Achievement Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Ribbon, and Navy Rifle & Pistol ribbons.
