Daryl Lee

With over six years of executive experience within the IPG world, Daryl returned to UM as Global Chief Executive Officer in February 2013.  As Global CEO of UM, Daryl leads brand differentiation and product excellence across the UM network.  In his role, Daryl partners closely with IPG Mediabrands’ leadership to ensure all UM client offerings leverage the marketing innovation capabilities of the IPG Mediabrands family of companies.
Before rejoining UM, Daryl was the Global Chief Strategy Officer at McCann Erickson, where he was responsible for working across all McCann offices to ensure clients received integrated brand solutions customized to their business and marketing challenges. 
Daryl’s prior role at UM was the Head of Global Strategy from 2006 – 2010.  During that time, he built the Communications Planning Practice across global clients including Microsoft, Sony, Coca-Cola, MasterCard and Johnson & Johnson.  Daryl’s efforts contributed to UM being named U.S. Media Agency of the Year in 2009. 
Daryl worked for several years at Ogilvy, where he was the head of the Marketing Strategy Group and the 360 Strategy Director for the IBM account around the world.

Daryl started his career as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in the New York office.
