John Shea

John oversees Octagon’s Corporate Consulting practice, including Experiential Marketing, Creative, Digital, Social Media, Multicultural, and Merchandise offerings in North and South America, leading a team of more than 400 people working to connect client brands to fans through their passion for sports and entertainment.

Octagon’s team influences $3 billion in sponsorship spending annually across the world’s largest sports properties, teams and leagues. In 2014 alone, Octagon negotiated rights on behalf of 3 Olympic partners, 2 NBA partners, 2 NFL partners, 1 FIFA World Cup sponsorship (all other FIFA client partnerships negotiated in earlier years), and various deals with the EPL, MLB, NHL, and related teams. Octagon’s consulting practice works directly with 10 of the top-70 U.S. sponsors.

In both 2008 and 2009, he was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal’s “Forty Under 40” recognition.
