Jim Bankoff is the Chairman and CEO of Vox Media, running all aspects of what has become the fastest growing digital media company today, attracting 165 million people globally each month. The company operates eight of the most successful media brands on the web: SB Nation, The Verge, Polygon, Vox.com, Curbed, Eater, Racked and Re/code. Each features high-value digital journalism, storytelling, brand advertising and content marketing at scale. Under Jim\\\\\\\'s leadership, Vox Media recently secured a $200 million strategic investment partnership with NBC Universal.
A veteran of the online industry, Jim developed and led dozens of the most popular websites on the internet including AOL, Mapquest, Moviefone, AOL Music and Engadget as an Executive Vice President at AOL. He co-founded TMZ.com, won an Emmy award for his production of the Live8 Concerts, and also oversaw AOL’s industry-leading instant messaging services, AIM and ICQ, and social networking and community applications.
