Jamila Hunter was named vice president, Network Comedy, ABC Entertainment Group, in October 2011. In this position she oversees the production and development of new comedy series. In her first year at ABC, she supervised Tim Allen’s return to broadcast television in “Last Man Standing,” which is now in its fifth season. She recently worked on the critically acclaimed series “black-ish” and “Fresh Off the Boat,” as well as this season’s new primetime series, “The Muppets” and the TV adaptation of “Uncle Buck,” starring Mike Epps and Nia Long. Prior to ABC, Ms. Hunter held positions at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, NBC Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television.
