Stephen Root

Stephen Root serves as the Vice President of Global Client Innovation Marketing for Visa. He is responsible for spearheading the organization’s evolving client-centric co-marketing model and strategy as well as building and expanding relationships with financial institutions and merchants in order to drive growth for both Visa and its clients.

Prior to his current role, Root served as head of Cards, Payments and Personal Loans Marketing with ANZ, a global Visa issuer based in Melbourne, Australia. With ANZ, Root oversaw the development and execution of a marketing strategy that supported the achievement of acquisition and engagement objectives for consumer credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards and personal loans while delivering profitable and sustainable growth for ANZ.
