Jessica Kang is the Senior Research Scientist at Center for Social Inclusion, engaging in research strategies and initiatives on communications testing. She provides research and strategies to community-based organizations, state-wide coalitions, academic think tanks, and others to in the effort to create racial equity in our national narrative.
Jessica holds a master’s degree in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut. As a graduate research assistant, Jessica’s research focused on people’s identification with a social group, such as race and gender and the effects of this identification on attitudes and stereotyping. Jessica also researched the effects of the 2008 presidential election on different racial groups’ identification with being American. Jessica has also studied how people react to racial minorities who are strongly identified with their racial group.
