Chris Macdonald
Chris became President of McCann Erickson’s flagship New York agency in 2013. Under his leadership, the agency has been awarded expanded responsibilities on existing accounts, added new business and contributed to Advertising Age’s selection of McCann as “Number One ‘Agency To Watch’ in 2014”.
Earlier, as Chief Executive of McCann London for six years, he led that agency to considerable success including the win of significant new business, major creative awards and being named one of London’s three best agencies by Campaign magazine. McCann London also was a key member of the McCann Worldgroup team that handled the successful and high profile marketing program for the London 2012 Olympics.
A veteran of the London advertising industry for over 20 years, Chris previously held top posts at other high profile London agencies, including Lowe Howard-Spink; Publicis London as the agency moved into the top 5; and RKCR/Y&R after their merger in 1999.
In addition to driving business results for the agencies he has led, Chris has a track record of developing effective and lauded communications in virtually every marketing category and for many blue chip clients such as Coca-Cola, American Airlines and News International to name a few.
