John oversees the agency’s vision, mission, and strategy, leading a 440-person staff in seven offices across the United States and Canada. Prior to leading Olson, he was chief operating officer of Dentsu Network West, where he had operational responsibility for a portfolio of fast-growing agencies such as McGarryBowen, FirstBorn and 360i throughout the Americas and Europe. John previously led global media sales as President at both Clear Channel Communications and Time Warner and also spent the first two decades of his career in various roles within Young & Rubicam, where he was a managing partner, as well as founder and CEO of its BrandBuzz unit. John holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS from the University of Delaware.
