Sue Fennessy

Sue Fennessy is the CEO of Standard Media Index (SMI), a global data business started in Australia and headquartered in New York City, servicing media, tech and finance companies. With visibility over 75% of global ad dollars, SMI provides the most accurate and timely picture of media company performance which fuels analytics systems globally. For 25 years, Sue has thrived as a senior business leader and entrepreneur in technology, data, media, and content businesses. Prior to SMI, Sue founded MM Communications, working with large global brands, including eight Sydney Olympic sponsors. With three offices in Asia Pacific, Sue ran this company for 10 years selling to BBDO in 2000. In late 2000, she founded Frontiers Group, a Sport, Media and Entertainment business, based in China. Frontiers brokered the broadcasting contracts for the 2002 and 2006 World Cup TV rights, created multiple lifestyle TV programs, and brought the first Broadway Musicals, “Cats” and “Les Misérables”, to China.
