Julie Hurwitz began her music career at age 10 when she made a bootleg mix tape by recording Stray Cat Strut, The Stroke and Gloria off the transistor radio in her mother’s kitchen. Soon thereafter a passion for music developed into a career. Currently, she is VP of Commercial Sync at Kobalt Music Group pitching songs and negotiating deals for brand-related licenses. The roster includes Dr. Luke, James Murphy, Beck, 50 Cent, Stevie Nicks, Steve Winwood, Skrillex, The Lumineers, Miles Davis, Fleet Foxes, David Gray, Bon Iver and DJ Shadow, among others. She lives in Jackson Heights, NY with her husband and two young sons.
