John Winsor

John founded Victors & Spoils in 2009 because he likes disruption and knows that advertising can only get better through open innovation. In fact, he has written four books about the power of innovation in marketing. A world traveler who is fluent in Spanish, John enjoys cycling, surfing, extreme skiing, mountain and rock climbing with his family. He wrote and edited stories about those pursuits as a journalist after starting Sports & Fitness Publishing and acquired the publishing rights to Women’s Sports & Fitness in 1990. That venture led to the formation of the Gravity Games, and he sold both businesses to Condé Nast in 1998. Soon after he started Radar Communications a global brand strategy and research firm. The sale of Radar to CP+B in 2007 saw him joining the agency where he was vice president and executive director of strategy and innovation. John serves on the board of the IAB.
