Imari Oliver

As VP, Director of Creative Strategy at sparks & honey, Imari leverages his digital, mobile development, design thinking, production and strategy experience to design creative ideas that connects brands with audiences in culturally and contextually relevant ways. Imari embraces the elements of data intelligence, content, innovation and creativity to help brands develop a deeper understanding of their customers and deliver more meaningful and authentic connections – regardless of channel, platform or product.

Prior to his role at sparks & honey, Imari served as Director of Innovation at mcgarrybowen. In this role he led his team in continually exploring what's next at the intersection of technology, business intelligence and human behavior.

Establishing himself as a leader in the field of cultural innovation, Imari was the Executive Producer of the inaugural TEDxHarlem conference, wrote and directed a science fiction short film, Replacement 5.16, and is currently working on his first book, "Pop Culture References to Explain Complex Topics.” He is also the publisher of Barnaby Station, an annual innovation report that covers the culture, people and ideas driving innovation.
