Susan Bonds

As co-founder and CEO of 42 Entertainment, Susan has evolved this pioneering company from its roots in alternate reality gaming to a unique position at the intersection of integrated entertainment and brand marketing. The connected experiences she has produced—including the Cyber Grand Prix award-winners Why So Serious? (for The Dark Knight) and Year Zero (for Nine Inch Nails)—have engaged millions of people worldwide. Her organization not only conceives immersive multi-platform experiences but also designs, programs, produces and executes all aspect of them, enabling people to “live” the story in unforgettable ways. Having started out in aerospace at Lockheed's Advanced Development Projects, Susan began her interactive storytelling career in 1990 at Walt Disney Imagineering. There she was responsible for the development of the ground-breaking attractions Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Mission: SPACE at Epcot—two of the parks’ most popular thrill rides. Last year, having already been featured in Wired, USA Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Contagious, she was named one of the top 12 Women to Watch in Gaming by Forbes.
