Erik Johnson

Erik Johnson is the Managing Director of Atlas, Facebook’s third party ad serving business. In this role, he is responsible for growing Facebook’s share of ad serving revenue, managing product design, and serving as an external spokesperson for Facebook’s ad technology business. Prior to this role, Erik was based in Singapore as the VP for Asia Pacific, where he led the regional sales team and helped the region’s top businesses and agencies become more successful on Facebook.

Before coming to Facebook, Erik spent twelve years at Microsoft, most recently as the General Manager of the Consumer and Online Business in Greater China, where he oversaw the end to end online business and all consumer facing marketing for the region.

Earlier in his career, Erik managed the MSN business development teams for Europe and Asia, where he oversaw the strategy and the creation of partnerships, both to enrich MSN services through media/content relationships and to bring them to market via distribution channels such as telephony, cable companies, and wireless carriers.

Erik has previously worked at US West New Vector Group as an M&A analyst after which he held a variety of consulting jobs working on network architecture and financial modeling.

Erik holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Lewis and Clarke College and a master's degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School.
