Lisa Cochrane

As SVP of Marketing at Allstate Corporation, the largest publicly-held insurer in the United States, Lisa Cochrane leads marketing and consumer communications for all business units of Allstate, including brand standards and guidelines, planning, advertising, direct marketing and interactive communications, media, promotions, sponsorships, consumer public relations, collateral and creative services.

Over the past 35 years, Lisa has held senior positions with advertising agencies (Ogilvy & Mather) and marketing service companies (IMS/Omnicom, formerly Schwarz Worldwide). Lisa also spent one year in academia at Northwestern University, where she directed university-wide corporate relations.

Under Lisa’s leadership, Allstate’s advertising campaigns have won numerous awards, most notably 11 Cannes Lions, 17 Effie awards (including 2014 Silver for Mala Suerte in the Hispanic category, 2013 Silver for Allstate’s Teen Driving campaign, 2012 Gold for the Mayhem campaign and 2011 Gold for Allstate’s “Our Stand” campaign), 32 national ADDY awards (including 2014, 2013 and 2012 Golds for Mayhem), the ANA Multicultural Excellence Award for the LGBT category, three GLAAD awards for LGBT marketing, and the AAF Pioneer of Diversity Award.

In 2014, Advertising Women of New York named Lisa their “Woman of the Year” and Brand Innovators designated her one of the “Top 50” Women in Brand Marketing. In 2013, Lisa was named one of Cynopsis Media’s “Most Intriguing People,” AWNY honored Lisa with the “Game Changer Award,” and the Chicago Advertising Federation named Allstate “Client of the Year.” In 2012, Business Insider designated Lisa one of the 29 Most Influential CMOs in the World and in 2011, she was named U.S. Advertising Person of the Year by the New York Ad Club. Lisa was also recognized by Working Mother Magazine and AWNY as 2010 Working Mother of the Year. In 2009, Lisa was awarded Allstate’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Award. Lisa was named Ad Woman of the Year by the Chicago Advertising Federation in 2008. She was named NASCAR’s Marketer of the Year in 2006.

Lisa is on the Board of Directors of the Ad Council and the Association of National Advertisers, currently serving on the Government Relations Committee. Lisa also serves on the National Board of the American Advertising Federation and the Board of Directors for the Chicago Park District Foundation.

Lisa is married to Cary Cochrane and they have two grown children, Christopher and Kate, who both happen to work in the ad business.
