Chuck Porter

Chuck Porter joined the Crispin Agency in 1988 as Creative Director and Partner after a long career as an award-winning freelance copywriter. The agency was renamed Crispin & Porter, and within three years it had doubled in size and been named as one of the top 15 creative shops in the country.

Today, Crispin Porter + Bogusky employees collaborate across six factories in seven locations: Boulder, Miami, Los Angeles, London, São Paulo and Gothenburg, Sweden with an additional CP+B Sweden office in Copenhagen. The agency has been profiled in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Forbes, and Fast Company. In 2009, CP+B was named Agency of the Year by Advertising Age, Adweek and Creativity magazine and in 2010 was selected by Advertising Age as Agency of the Decade.

In addition to his role at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Chuck is Chief Strategist for MDC Partners, CP+B’s parent company. At MDC, he identifies and assesses potential acquisitions and serves as a consultant to member agencies.

Chuck is a past co-chairman and current board member of Advertising Week in New York, North America’s preeminent communications industry event, as well as past Chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. Along with Martha Stewart and Michael Dell, he was named one of Inc. magazine’s Entrepreneurs We Love.

Chuck grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from the Journalism School at the University of Minnesota.
