In this session...

In this session, Steve Ellis, the Co-founder and CEO of WhoSay, will lead a discussion with top entertainment stars (with a combined 1 million social media followers) and a leading industry expert on the new era of celebrity storytelling in today’s world of social media.

With a publishing platform in the palm of almost every hand, celebrities, like brands, have new ways to connect directly with their fans. This direct connection is a real and long-term asset but it presents new challenges to entertainment stars, just as it does to brands. What is the best approach to managing this new relationship with fans? How can it be done in a way that addresses both the professional and personal nature of social communication and still feel authentic? We will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of an “always on” connection to fans, and how to balance the benefits with the demands it places on them.

More specifically we’ll discuss how to:

— Establish an organic, genuine relationship with fans through different social media channels and integrated campaigns
— Develop the right ‘type’ of content for this medium and how much is enough (or too much)
— Measure your success and campaign impact
