David Mogensen

David Mogensen brings 13 years of marketing experience to Google, where he leads a team focused on modern brand building. In this role, he is responsible for defining how Google and YouTube are positioned to Fortune 500 brands as well as Google’s brand thought leadership efforts and partnership with TED on its Ads Worth Spreading initiative.

Prior to joining Google, David spent nearly a decade doing consumer marketing for BMW of North America, managing events, media and advertising. His last role was National Marketing Manager, where he was responsible for the brand positioning and advertising in the US. During that time, David was also Editor in Chief of BMW Magazine, with a circulation of nearly a million BMW enthusiasts.

David has studied at Vanderbilt University, NYU, Wharton and the London School of Economics. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Pomona College. He mentors high school students through the iMentor organization and lives outside of Manhattan with his wife, daughter and yellow lab.
