With more than 15 years of experience in game-changing product creation, execution and innovation, Dr. Phil Mui is well known for his contributions in the world of marketing analytics and product marketing and engineering. He has worked for some of the world’s most innovative and well-known technology companies, and brings that knowledge to Acxiom.
Phil is a visionary yet proven innovator who is uniquely qualified to help Acxiom jump the curve – and the competition. He works closely with Acxiom senior leaders and our renowned client roster to develop and implement technologies that will change the business of marketing as we know it.
Prior to joining Acxiom, Phil led the strategy formulation and execution of Google Analytics in his role as group product manager at Google. He also led the development of an annotation infrastructure that underlies Google+, Google Maps Reviews and Ratings and Google Bookmarks, among other Google products.
Phil has also served in leadership roles at the Stanford Functional Genomics Facility, Oracle Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, Lycos and a London-based display advertising startup.
Phil has a Ph.D., M.Eng., and S.B. (EECS) from MIT where he was a Whitaker Fellow, Harvard/MIT Health Sciences and Technology Fellow, and National Institute of Health Fellow. His dissertation in MIT’s Laboratory for Computer Science was on multi-agents modeling of social networks. He also has an M.Phil. (Management) from Oxford University where he was a Marshall Scholar. Phil is a member of the following honor societies: Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi.
