Michael Rourke

Michael Rourke is the co-founder and CEO of Hud:sun Media.  Founded in 2010 by Michael Rourke and MDC, Hud:sun Media is an entertainment company dedicated to developing, producing and distributing premium content across every platform.  Hud:sun holds the singular mission of telling compelling stories built around dynamic characters that resonate with niche and broad audiences alike.  Hud:sun currently produces  “Pregnant in Heels"  for Bravo, as well as “I’m Having Their Baby,” a pioneering adoption docuseries for Oxygen. Digitally, Hud:sun created and produced "Style Studio with Rebecca Minkoff" for Yahoo, now in it's second season and just launched "Decoding Style with Nina Garcia" for AOL.   Last month, Hud:sun produced the video content for Condé Nast Entertainment’s digital launch of Glamour and GQ. 

Hud:sun has quickly emerged as a leading branded content company working with Nine West to launch the new digital fashion network "Channel 9," now a leading fashion channel on YouTube.  In addition, Hud:sun partnered with Mattel's Barbie brands to launch the ground-breaking online show, "Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend" on Hulu, as well as "Unracked with Gilt Groupe."  Furthermore, Hud:sun is currently in development with several television networks, both cable and broadcast, as well as digital partners on a number of projects slated for early 2013. Hud:sun Media is fast becoming a premier production house on the multi-platformed entertainment landscape.

Prior to forming Hud:sun Media, Rourke spent ten years in a highly successful production deal with Sony Pictures Television where he launched three daily syndicated shows for the studio and ultimately produced thousands of episodes of television. Rourke created and oversaw SPT’s daily courtroom shows Judge Hatchett, Judge Maria Lopez, and Judge David Young as well as Executive Produced the daily talk show “Ricki Lake.” Rourke was also the Executive Producer of the VH1 series “The RuPaul Show” and “The List” as well as an Emmy nominated producer for NBC News and “First Person with Maria Shriver.”

Rourke splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
