Veronica Hernandez-Aguilar

As of January 2017, Verónica became CEO of the main advertising agency in Mexico, Ogilvy, being the first Mexican woman to reach this position in Ogilvy Latin America.

She has more than 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing with proven results in the growth of revenues and profits.

She is highly valued by her clients for creativity as well as for the integration and construction of productive and motivated teams and in general for her business acumen.

She has vast and proven experience in managing large global, regional and local corporate accounts in various industries.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, for three years, she was VP of the Ogilvy & Mather advertising business unit, which accounts for 60% of the group's total revenues and was also in charge of the New Business unit. During this period, she became a member of the Executive Committee (EXCO).

She also used to manage the Health & Wellness business unit during two years at Ogilvy.
In November 1997 she started her successful career in Ogilvy by joining as Account Director for important companies such as Unilever, Clemente Jacques, AdeS, Maizena, Glaxo SmithKline, Kodak, Hershey’s, Sigma Alimentos and Kimberly Clark.
She began her advertising career by joining Leo Burnett, working for Tabacalera Mexicana and later collaborating with other international agencies such as Scalli, McCabe, Sloves of the Lowe Group and Ammirati Puris Lintas.

Veronica has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Tec de Monterrey and post-graduate studies at WPP Group and Coaching Leadership courses.
Veronica lives in Mexico with her 10-year-old daughter Natalia and her husband Javier.
